Penguins are a very interesting type of flightless birds. All children, ranging in ages from Pre-K to 2nd grade, will love the book Penguins by Anne Schreiber. This book is filled with many interesting facts. I would use penguins as a topic of a fun science unit. I would pair this non-fiction book with Tacky the Penguin by Helen Lester/5. This is excellent. It's quite hard to find all 10 penguins in each scene. Great for all ages, it's one of those books that slightly annoys you but you just can't put it down!
